Zazie Olivia Beetz was born in Berlin in 1991. Her father was a German Cabinet Maker who came to live to the United States following the fall of the Berlin Wall. Jennifer Aniston is also a graduate of the same highschool. Beetz pursued her French studies through Skidmore College, after graduating LaGuardia. Beetz began auditioning shortly following graduation, and she was then offered the part in Atlanta. Beetz, born to an African American father as well as a German mother born in Berlin from Berlin was brought up as the only New Yorker who was bilingual. Zazie began performing on local and community stage in her early days. When she was in grade school, she discovered acting and eventually became a professional actor. Zendaya landed the Disney Channel breakout role thanks her impressive dancing skills. The actor and dancer got a breakout role in 2010 when she was cast alongside Bella Thorne as Rocky Blue in the television show "Shake It Up". Zendaya turned vegetarian when she was eleven after passing by the killinghouse along with her father when they were on the road. She tells PEOPLE, "I thought it was awful, all those animals being stuffed and waiting to be killed. I was shocked to discover that's where I'd gotten my meat!" Since that time, she's been on a strict diet based on plants.
