Jennifer Garner was originally born in Houston Texas on April 17th 1973. She was raised however in Charleston West Virginia. Her father, William John Garner, was a chemical engineer for Union Carbide. Patricia Ann Garner taught in an institution near to her. She received her degree with a chemical engineering degree to follow her father. Her move into New York in order to pursue her dream of becoming an actor. As she appeared in Broadway shows, she also was a waitress at a nearby restaurant. She played a minor role in the film "Felicity" (where the show was where she first encountered Scott Foley). Garner got her first big performance with "13 Goin' on 30" the romantic comedy which was highly acclaimed. She was a teen woman trapped in the body of an adult. Garner picked Gary Winick for the role of director. The two continued working together on other projects up when Winick's death in the year 2011. in 2009 Garner was named an artist ambassador for Save the Children U.S.A. The role includes promotion of national literacy and nutrition, as well as early education and other aspects. Garner has served on the board of trustees since 2014. Garner promotes early childhood education. As a member of the Early Steps to School Success (EASS) program's ambassador team, Garner visits families regularly to provide them with strategies to inspire their kids to succeed.
